Like do we really need 2 handicaps on console? What I wasn't prepared for was being nerfed through the floor on the characters that I've popped 100+ hours into and not being able to hit opponents with any reliability. I was expecting the handicap of having opponents with better aim than I'm used to (based on them using mouse and keyboard), and I'm totally fine with that since that's based on their skill, not mine. Me and a couple PS4 friends played with my friend on PC for the first time and instantly noticed how terrible the handicap was. I genuinely think it's something you just have to accept. They realized that by making one big console pool they would positively impact queue times and made competitive play on console more dynamic because of the larger player base. It's simply not going to change.Ĭrossplay was made moreso to increase the size of the console pools and less to let people play with their buddies. While I understand it's just quickplay many people do not feel that way about quickplay. You are having to make sacrifices to participate with PC players as many PC players consider aim assist to negatively impact the integrity of the game. It's not intended to be the standard way to play the game. On top of that I think that you are well aware of what you are getting into when you queue with a PC friend, and Blizzard made it very obvious. As I said earlier aim assist is considered unacceptable to many PC gamers and many would even go so far to consider it cheating. They would lose their minds if they had aim assist in their matches. I'm not a quickplay player and am completely unaffected personally but I can assure you that there are tons of PC quickplay players and that most of them treat QP like they're in a top 500 match against a NYXL three stack in 2018. You would likely cause much more conflict by putting aim assist into PC lobbies than there is now by not having it. Aim assist is largely considered unacceptable in the PC gaming community. It's a shitty answer but I don't think that they should do either thing you suggested. Please Blizzard this game is practically unplayable when grouping with PC players. This is only going to result in console players getting flamed by teammates and having a miserable time, and will essentially lead to almost no console and PC players playing together.Īt this point Blizzard either needs to either remove PC and console quick play all together or, preferably, give console players aim assist against PC players. There's hardly a point to playing with your PC friends if you're on console. With so many heroes relying on tracking and aiming in general, lacking aim assist has put console players at a severe disadvantage. It is far easier to track with a keyboard and mouse than it is to do so with two sticks. Not having aim assist on two sticks makes you severely handicapped against PC players. I don't know of any other shooters that do this, but feel free to correct me in the comments below. With the addition of cross play comes the bizzare decision by Blizzard to disable all aim assist, both enemy and friendly, for console players when playing against PC players. I understand most players here are on PC and thus won't have this newfound experience. My laptop is shit and I can't run OW well on it, so I play on console.

When viewers meet Mei in Turning Red, she’s a confident and dorky 13-year-old who loves a number of things: math, pizza, cute animals, dumplings, music (especially the boyband 4*Town), her friends, and more. Related: Soul: Every Famous Mentor Explained Now, Mei’s journey in Turning Red is similar to 22’s in Soul. After being rescued by Joe from being a Lost Soul, 22 regained her confidence and finally made the jump to Earth. It wasn’t until she spent time on Earth in Joe’s body that she realized life on Earth wasn’t boring and there were a lot of fun activities, interesting people, and little things to enjoy everywhere, which gave her her “spark” or intention to live. When the audience met 22 in Soul, she had spent thousands of years at The You Seminar and had met every requirement to go to Earth except one, as she couldn’t find her “spark”, no matter how many mentors (some of them famous ones) she had had, and as a result, she had no interest in life on Earth. The last time viewers see 22, she jumps to Earth with Joe (though he can’t accompany her all the way) at the end of Soul and she lands somewhere in Asia. After a brief time on Earth through Joe’s body, 22 finds that spark and intention to live, completing her badge, so Joe rescues her as she had become a lost soul and escorts her out of the Great Before for her big jump to Earth. Together, Joe and 22 learn that the “spark” is not a soul’s purpose, as they had thought all along, but each soul’s intention to live. With Joe in a coma in the physical world, 22 agrees to let him help her find her “spark” to complete her badge and he can use it to go back to Earth. There he meets 22, a young soul in training who’s avoiding Earth and thus hasn’t completed her badge, which grants souls passage to Earth once it's completely filled out with personality traits. Joe is hired, but on his way home, he falls down a manhole and goes down the sewers, and when he wakes up, he finds himself as his soul heading into the “Great Beyond”. Soul tells the story of Joe Gardner ( Jamie Foxx), a music teacher who dreams of being a jazz musician and auditions to become part of Dorothea Williams’ (Angela Bassett) quartet. The latter was the first Pixar project to be sent directly to Disney+ due to the coronavirus pandemic, and while that impacted its box office performance, it was a critical success. Pixar has many traditions, including releasing at least one movie per year, and 2020 saw two very different stories: Onward and Soul. A fan theory suggests there’s a strong link between Turning Red and Soul thanks to 22 (voiced by Tina Fey) and Mei, as they could be one and the same, thus solving the mystery of 22’s fate. Of course, Turning Red has a bunch of Pixar Easter eggs and references, and fans have already tried to place it within the Pixar Universe Theory, but others have found a way to explain a Pixar mystery through Turning Red. Related: Turning Red: Why Mei's Mom's Red Panda Is So Much Bigger Unfortunately for Mei, that night coincides with a concert of her favorite boy band, 4*Town, and to further complicate everything, she also has to deal with her overbearing mother, Ming (Sandra Oh). This turns out to be a curse linked to her ancestors, who have a shared history with the species, but it can be contained by performing a special ritual on one specific night. Turning Red introduced viewers to Meilin "Mei" Lee (Rosalie Chiang), a dorky, 13-year-old Chinese-Canadian student who one day discovers that, whenever she gets too excited or stressed, she turns into a giant red panda, but she can turn back if she becomes calm and controls her emotions. Pixar’s latest project, Turning Red, has been a success with critics and viewers but it has also been divisive, as it deals with topics that aren’t usually seen in Pixar movies. I only need to touch once to connect it to another Bluetooth device with either the AD2P or AVRCP1.4 profile. This sounding alarm radio has been equipped with the 4.1 Class II version of built-in Bluetooth and the NFC technology for easy device pairing. The Sangean RCR-20 includes an LCD that is simple to read with high contrast, and of course, its clock views real-time and automatic backlight. I like how you can use the infrared remote control to choose whether you would like to have 10 or 18 stations presets for both AM/FM frequencies on this digital radio. Sangean RCR-20 FM-RDS Digital Clock Radio Place it on the top of your bed to wake up with a favorite channel. Since many radio brands often limit the volume adjustment, its 15 levels will benefit your experience. I believe that those whose eyes are sensitive to light would feel great using the DreamSky alarm FM radio. If there is an electric outage, use 3 AAA batteries to keep the radio running. I am impressed by the 76-inch length of its DC adapter to provide for the main charging source. Without plug-in walls, the sounding FM radio allows you to charge another smart device through its extra USB charging port. Before you turn off its 8-minute interval snooze, it can repeat in an hour. The DreamSky alarm radio will start to go louder in 5 seconds. There are 3 levels for the buzzer when you wake up. You can preset the sleep timer from 10 to 120 minutes if you want to fall asleep to your favorite radio station. I can check for the ☌ and ☏ indoor temperature on the screen as well. Moreover, it enables the user to easily tune FM channels from 87.5 to 108MHz, so your experience would be simplified. The reason why this unit deserves to be the best sounding clock radio on the market is 15 adjustable levels of volume for its high-performance speaker. While other alarm radios on the market offer limited dimmer, you can choose 0 – 100% to adjust the display brightness on this one. It shows the illuminated time and other relevant information. Thanks to the large LCD 4-inch screen giving contents in blue, I am happy for not having to squint to read this FM sounding clock radio. I will ask some folks I know to see if we may get any answer (or perhaps they may see this here and chime in). Still, we could also just ask that Adobe make more clear (on the main pages for CF and CFB) how one who DOES have such a license and who DOES want to get to the older version could go about finding that in the private licensing site. As vital information about servers is collected and stored in a datastore, you need end-to-end encryption. In some cases, they literally had to remove it because of licensing issues with 3rd parties where (having removed some licensed software from CF, for instance), they HAD to remove from the public site any CF installers that included that library. ColdFusion Performance Monitoring Toolset uses Elasticsearch 8.2.x as datastore. I do understand somewhat why Adobe doesn’t offer the older versions on their site once the newer one comes out, though I do wish they would leave the older one for some period of time, or just offer an “archive” area to get to the old one. Or they are not actually the person who “bought” CF or CFB (and to whom the email was sent) at all, and THAT person may no longer recall the URL, or the email account used to login, etc. There is of course a forgot password feature.Īnd often the person who “has the license” to be installed either no longer recalls having been given that URL, or having created an account, or what email they used. Of course, it requires a login and password. In addition to Carl’s helpful suggestion, I’ll add also that folks who license software from Adobe are also given a link to a non-public site where they could still download the older versions they had licensed, like CFBuilder 3. I've used ClickRepair for about 20 years, it's solid but it's not cheap. This method preserves the track gaps as cut to the vinyl. But simple trimming by deletion works fine.Ĭreating each individual track file done by highlighting from the end of the track and dragging to the beginning for the file. I think you can taper the file, and I might have messed with this for a while. You don't encode until after the edits are done. As far as the file you need to use, it's always the waveform file. You just highlight what you want deleted then delete it. Is there some other free audio editing software I should consider too? (Windows 10)Īudacity is fine to trim either the lead-in or the lead out. Any comments on that would be appreciated. However, it's been so many years since I last used it, and it's not installed on my current computer, I probably have no good reason to need to continue using it.ĭoes Sound Forge (I'd only buy the regular, not the Pro version) have any particular advantage over something like Audacity?Īudacity is apparently free but I have never used it, so I don't know if it's *really* free or includes various ads, spyware, etc as the price for being free. So I see Sound Forge is still around, now owned by Magix, and there's a regular and a pro version. In SoundForge, doing that was a subset of the above capabilities, and I'm guessing that's the case for any other audio editing software?Īlso note, I do want to keep archival wav versions of all these files in case I want to reload onto the Tascam (it only accepts wav files), but for my digital music system I'll be converting all these wav files to FLAC (using dBPoweramp or whatever). So at this point (after saving the wav file post-trimming) I would have edited wav files representing each digitized album side, with properly trimmed and faded start and end, but all the rest of the wav file is unaltered.Įventually I'd also like to split out each individual song from the album side via software, with a similar fade in/out applied to each one, and create separate wav files for each song. Is this a pretty standard capability in any audio software, all done essentially the same way? Then it had a gain overlay, generally at 100% during the music portion, and you could manually adjust the taper in/out duration from 0 to 100% or 100 to 0%, to accomplish fade in or out. In SoundForge, the way this was done is you first bring up the wav file, then you can expand the time scale so you can visually see/pick/hear where the actual music content begins or ends. It's hit or miss when digitizing vinyl, when you hit the record button, versus where the needle lands in the lead-in groove sometimes 10 seconds of silence)Ģ) Trim the lead-out of each wav file (representing a full album side) so it fades out from the end of the last song on the LP side, to silence. What I need audio software for is taking vinyl LP's that I've digitized using a Tascam DV-RA1000HD, mostly at 88KHz/24 bit (full LP sides as one contiguous wav file (I have no choice in wav file as output)), and doing a couple things: (Note: I think the wav files the Tascam creates are actually bwf files, but that doesn't affect the ability to read or play them as standard wav files)ġ) Trim the lead-in of each wav file (representing a full album side) so it fades in from silence to full gain fairly immediately before any musical content starts. However, it's not installed on any of my currently-functioning computers. Many years ago I used to use (Sonic Foundry, then Sony) SoundForge software for audio editing. We’ve picked the best of the best opportunities-from adventure and active camps to art, music, theatre, science and more. Enter our annual guide to summer camps in Pensacola. While summer is a great time for open-ended play and relaxed, lazy days, kids also need to stay challenged and have social interactions during the summer months and parents need a safe, engaging and fun place to send their kids during the workday. Click here to donate to the Pensacola Little Theatre.School’s out for summer! This is the best possible news for kids, but a bit of a conundrum for parents. Pensacola Little Theatre (PLT) has shared that mission of telling your stories and the stories of our community since 1936. As the oldest, continually-operating theatre in the Southeast, PLT will keep on telling those stories for everyone in the community, just like we have since 1936. Until then, we are offering limited capacities and streaming options for our in-person performances over the next year. We’re all in it and experiencing this moment – this story – together. Everything that happens on stage is far more exhilarating than what happens on screen – for the actors, for you, for your neighbor. In a film, actors can’t respond to an audience’s laughter they can’t feel the tension or anticipation by those in the front row. It’s all-consuming – the sets, the costumes, the lighting, the orchestra, the inability of perfection because it’s not recorded or in a studio. There is something truly magical about the way live performances draw you in and make you feel part of the story as it unfolds in front of you. All other options pale in comparison to how live theatre transports you to another place and time. So remember that when life gets back to “normal” and screens, Zooms, and virtual lives are the exception rather than the rule. They have kept your families entertained, enriched, and hey – let’s call that spade a spade – oftentimes even just distracted. Sure, we look different in a COVID world, but whether you are a mother who is able to be home with her children throughout the day or the mom who moves and shakes and shuffles just as much as her five-year-old – we can all agree that the arts have been the unsung heroes during pandemic times. We nurture discipline and perfecting a practice, to oftentimes then preach that done is pretty and satisfactory as the curtain rises. We give those kids a voice.īecause that’s what theatre is – giving a voice to the voiceless creating a means of expression when words don’t quite do the trick. We teach children how to act so that they can put themselves in someone else’s shoes and understand a differing viewpoint. PLT classes instill foundational skills like self-confidence and public speaking. You see, through our arts education classes, we don’t breed performers we help children stand up a little taller or speak a little louder. We love it!Īnd even if Suzie and Daniel go on to be teachers or doctors or writers or athletes or parents that never step foot on another stage, we help prepare them for that, too. Oh, that little Daniel there is MEANT for the stage. Sure, your little Suzie has a voice that’s made for Broadway. The whole “something for everyone” spiel is tried and true within the walls of the Cultural Center.Īs thespians, we know that stories don’t get told without a voice, and we are happy to give you and/or your little ones all of the tools they need to gain that voice. From our children’s series (Acorn), our family-friendly series (Treehouse), our classic adult plays and musicals (Mainstage), to our downright dirty and thought-provoking mature series (Studio 400) – we tell it all. Today, the Pensacola Cultural Center houses Ballet Pensacola, Liberty Church, the West Florida Literary Federation, EntreCon, Pensacon, the Stamped LGBTQ Film Festival, the local Human Trafficking Task Force performances, and so many other civic and cultural organizations throughout the community – because as the community grows, so does the need to tell each of our stories.Īt PLT, we tell big stories for more than just little people. |
